In my own words

Why I’m running.

Jennifer Boddie
Occupation: Mother/Community Volunteer

I believe Rio Linda/Elverta Community Water District is in crisis. Our water district has been mired in controversies: infighting, multi-million dollar lawsuits, water contamination, and a dangerous lack of water for fire protection. It is time for a change.

I couldn’t just sit on the sidelines and complain. That is why I am running for the water board. We deserve safe, reliable water — and improved transparency and accountability.

I am a lifelong resident of Rio Linda/Elverta. My work and community involvement has always been rooted in service to make our community better. I run the Rio Linda Elverta Teen Council & Youth Program and the Boddie Family Boxing Academy, creating opportunities for youth and families through mentorship, career readiness, food access, and community engagement.

I have the skills, commitment, and passion to fix problems and get the Rio Linda/Elverta Community Water District back on the right track. I will be accessible, listen to the community, ask thoughtful questions, and ensure that public resources are better managed. I will focus on resolving the current crises — then push long-term planning that protects ratepayers, and ensures safe, reliable water service for current residents.

I am proud to have the support of Sacramento County Supervisor Rosario Rodriguez. I would be honored to earn your support — and your vote. Learn more at JenniferBoddie.com.
